THE BODY POLITIC

"The Body Politic" explores the abstract nature of human identity. The closer we look at ourselves, the less we see.

Shot in 2018 in New York City's Garment District, this series seeks to reveal the organic qualities that reside within inorganic materials--in this case, steel elevator cables. Inspired by a public art installation by Taiwanese sculptor Kang Muxiang. Four of the series' eight photos are shown here.
