An awful lot has happened since my last post, which was way back in 2015. Lots of changes, lots of distractions, in the last four-plus years. I took a very hard detour into photography--street photography, specifically. I even launched an entirely separate photography website, where I sold prints and blogged sporadically about the nature of words and pictures. During this same time, I've continued working on three manuscripts--two of which are books in the Cadabra Rasa series. The third manuscript is a follow-up to Blinding the Finches, set eleven years after the events of that story. I've made a great deal of progress on all three books, most notably the sequel to Memento Mori. I'm excited to share these stories with everyone, and I appreciate your patience.
In the meantime, I'll be updating this website throughout the month, and do plan on being more active here in general. This has nothing to do with New Year's resolutions and everything to do with being an errant, absentee creator. Again, thank you all for your patience. More updates to come, particularly about the forthcoming Memento Mori sequel, including some sneak peeks at the work-in-progress manuscript. Stay tuned.

This has been a very busy year for me, creatively speaking. Not only was my second novel, BLINDING THE FINCHES, published this past July, I had booths at three different conventions (Walker Stalker Con in Georgia and New Jersey, and ComiCONN in Connecticut). I'll be honest, I love doing cons--it's the best way to meet new readers. Plus, there's something incredibly gratifying about being able to put my work directly into people's hands. In addition to the new novel, I made a LOT of headway on MEMENTO MORI, the sequel to POSTHUMOUS. I'm very excited about the sequel, and I hope readers will find the new book worth the wait. As of now, MEMENTO MORI will be available Summer 2015, but I hope to share excerpts from the book before then. For those of you who may have read POSTHUMOUS, I appreciate your patience in waiting for Book Two. Your excitement and support means a lot to me as an author. In the meantime, feel free to contact me with questions or comments about the Cadabra Rasa Series--or any of my other projects. Like I said, it's been a busy year, but I'm not creating in a vacuum. |
